Compliance Program

Any vehicle over 10001# is subject to Dot Regulations.

You must have a system and an individual responsible for ensuring overall compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.

You must have a copy of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Handbook and HazMat Transportation Regulations

You must have a Substance Abuse program

You must prepare and maintain an accident register

You must have a driver qualification file on each employee

You must have policies and procedures in place regarding driver logs, vehicle-inspections, maintenance files and hours of service

You must be a part of a random drug/alcohol program

Any carrier over 10001# and crossing state lines must also have a DOT number
